I write about business, technology, and culture in the Internet Age and advise the world’s top institutions.
I am a lawyer, entrepreneur, consultant, and investor who works at the intersections of law, technology, innovation, and public policy. My cryptocurrency and blockchain expertise enables me to advise companies, funds, and startups on several unique business and strategy challenges.
In 2014, I founded Six, a technology company turned Web3 consultancy, focused on the next generation of the Internet. I earned my B.A. in Asian Studies, International Relations, and Economics with a Mandarin concentration from Lake Forest College in 2016. After college, my passion for law, technology, and finance landed me at Sidley Austin LLP, where I worked in business development, supporting lawyers in the M&A, hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital practice groups.
In 2017, I left the firm to attend Sydney Law School for my J.D., where I reformed legislation surrounding public sector data sharing and privacy for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet of the Australian Government. I was also a contributing editor to the Oxford Guide to International Humanitarian Law published by Oxford University Press in May 2020 and authored by joint faculty at Harvard Law School and the Oxford University Blatvinik School of Government. I was admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in October 2021.
I blend my passions, professional work, and consulting towards a path to service. Giving back, educating others, and developing people, places, and progress around the world is a guiding force in my life. I contribute to and advise various non-profit organizations, including Harvard’s HPAIR, Oxford’s Internet Institute, Stanford University’s CodeX Blockchain Group, the World Economic Forum (where I serve as a founding member of the AI Futures Lab), All Tech is Human and Infer-Public (which advises U.S. policymakers on emerging technologies issues).
Outside the office, I write about Web3 trends across social media, thumb through my extensive jazz vinyl record collection, and explore new restaurants around the country.
